Beyblade X is a fast-paced spinning top battle game that uses a stadium and powerful launchers. The goal is to either knock your opponent’s Beyblade out of the stadium, cause a burst, or outspin them. This rulebook applies to competitive and casual play using official Beyblade X parts only.
BEYBLADE REGISTRATION & INSPECTION RULE
All players must submit their complete deck of Beyblades to the organizers during registration. These will be held by the organizers and cannot be accessed by players until they are called for their matches. This ensures fairness and prevents mid-event modifications.
Part Legality Check:
During inspection, if the organizers find that any part appears modified, damaged beyond legal use, or suspiciously out of the ordinary, the player will be advised to replace or adjust the part to meet legal standards.
If a suitable replacement is not available or the player refuses to comply, they will not be allowed to participate in the tournament.
This rule applies to all parts, including BLADE, RATCHET, and BIT.
Xtreme Finish – 3 Points
When your opponent’s entire Bey enters the Xtreme Zone and cannot return to the Battle Zone. (Subject to judge's discretion)
Over Finish – 2 Points
When your opponent’s entire Bey enters the Over Zone and cannot return to the Battle Zone. (Subject to judge's discretion)
Burst Finish – 2 Points
When your opponent’s Bey parts detach and break apart before your own Beys. (Includes blades, ratchets, bits)
Spin Finish – 1 Point
When your opponent’s Bey's speed in the natural direction of rotation drops to zero in the Battle Zone before your own Bey.
If simultaneous finishes occur (e.g., Burst + Spin), the match is a draw and must be redone.
SIDE SELECTION:
Players decide which side to use (B-Side or X-Side) by Rock-Paper-Scissors or a coin toss. The winner selects their preferred side; the other side will be used by the opponent.
The launching zone is evenly divided between both players. Each blader must launch from within their designated side.
Each Blader must remain within their assigned side when launching. Crossing into the opponent’s zone is prohibited.
BEYBLADE PART RESET:
Any parts that have been transformed to a specific mode during battle must be reset after the battle.
Current Parts Affected:
Trans Point Bit
Scorpio Spear Blade
LAUNCH ZONE & POSITIONING RULES
Before each launch, the judge will ask both players if their launch position is clear and unobstructed by the other player’s gear by saying "Bladers Ready!". Players must confirm or notify the judge immediately of any issues.
Each Blader must ensure that their entire body, launcher gear, ripcords, grips, and any related accessories remain completely within their designated side of the launch zone throughout the launching process
If any part of a player’s launcher, ripcord, or accessories extends into the opponent’s side, this is generally permitted only if it does not obstruct the opponent’s launching motion or space.
If an extension does obstruct the opponent’s launching space or motion, the affected player has the right to inform the judge and request an adjustment.
If the judge confirms the obstruction, the judge will instruct the player to reposition their launcher or accessories. The judge may also allow players to adjust their standing positions to ensure both have clear and fair launching space.
If the opposing player is comfortable with the extension of the launcher, ripcord, or accessories into their area and it does not cause any hindrance, the judge may allow the match to proceed without requiring adjustments.
Ultimately, both players must agree on their positions before launching. If necessary, the judge will mediate until a fair and unobstructed launch position is established for both players.
SHOOTING STANCE GUIDELINES
Players must prepare to shoot with their Beyblade positioned within their assigned launching area. This ensures fair alignment and avoids accidental obstruction.
Obstruction & Touching:
Players must not touch the opponent or their equipment (hands, arms, launcher, or other gear) at any time during the shooting sequence.
If an opponent’s hand, arm, launcher, or accessory is obstructing your shooting position, immediately inform the judge.
If the judge determines that your own shot or stance is obstructing your opponent, you will be required to adjust your position before launching.
Physical Contact & Stadium Movement:
Intentionally touching the opponent or striking the stadium with any part of your body or equipment in a way that moves or shifts the stadium is strictly prohibited.
Doing so will be ruled as a Shooting Error.
The judge will issue a warning for the first offense; repeated offenses may lead to disqualification.
LAUNCHING RULES:
All Beyblades must be launched strictly within the Launch Area shown in the diagram.
Launching from outside the Stadium Cover is not allowed.
The launcher must be held above the stadium rim height — at least 20 cm( 8 inches) above the Battle Zone — before launching.
Holding the launcher below the rim or inside the stadium walls is prohibited.
The Beyblade must be released so it lands directly inside the Launch Area, not from outside or across the cover’s edge.
All battles will use an official judge countdown to ensure fair and synchronized launches
The judge will clearly call out: “3, 2, 1, Go Shoot!”
Bladers must launch their Beyblade precisely on the word “Shoot.”
Launching early (before “Shoot”) or late (after “Shoot”) will be considered a Shooting Error and handled according to the launch fault rules.
If both players fail to follow the judge’s exact signal but launch their Beyblades synchronously, the match will stand and continue as normal.
If both players launch on the judge’s “Shoot” signal but the Beyblades are not released synchronously — resulting in one Beyblade dropping into the battle zone while the opposing Beyblade is still being launched — the judge will evaluate the timing to determine if this was due to a late or premature release. If confirmed, it will be ruled a Shooting Error for the player at fault.
If either or both players perform a soft launch or use a launch technique that slightly delays the Beyblade’s drop into the battle zone, the match will stand as long as both players released their Beyblades synchronously, regardless the delay.
Shooting errors are judged by officials. Offending players will be:.
1st Offense - Warning; match will restart
2nd Offense (Consecutive) - 1 Point to the opposing player
Both players must proceed to their next Beyblade.
Shooting Error offenses will reset after using another beyblade.
AFTER LAUNCH:
A battle officially begins when all Beys touch the stadium. If Beys collide mid-air or parts fall off before stadium contact, the battle will be restarted.
If a beyblade hits the stadium cover before entering the battle zone, the match will be restarted, and the player who owns the Beyblade will be issued a Shooting Error.
If there are any concerns, players must ask judges immediately after launch. No comments are accepted once the battle starts.
The judge may stop and restart any battle deemed unfair or dangerous (e.g., reckless launching, unsafe Beys).
If a player accidentally hits the stadium during launch or the Beyblade falls into the stadium cover without landing in the Battle Zone first, the match will be restarted and the player will be flagged for Shooting error.
If a launcher handle, ripcord, or string accidentally touches the stadium after the shot, and no impact is determined that may disrupt the stadium, the judge may allow the result to stand.
A Blunder Launch occurs when a Beyblade, immediately after launch and without making any contact with the opposing Beyblade, falls into the Over Finish pocket, Xtreme pocket, or bursts on its own.
1st Offense - Warning; match will restart
2nd Offense (Consecutive) - Depending on the outcome (burst, over, and xtreme finish).
Both players must proceed to their next Beyblade.
Blunder Launch offenses will reset after using another beyblade
Blunder Launch is also considered as a Shooting Error. Blunder and Launching offenses will be counted as one.
BLUNDER LAUNCH CLARIFICATION:
If a Beyblade launches cleanly with no visible issues during launch, but then immediately makes volatile contact with the Xtreme Line and self-KOs or bursts without any contact from the opponent, the point may be awarded to the opponent depending on the match outcome.
This is not automatically considered a “Blunder Launch.”
A “Blunder Launch” will only be called after a judge’s deliberation, and only if it’s determined that the error was due to launching, not from the natural movement or volatility of the Beyblade once inside the battle zone.
INTERFERENCE POLICY:
It is strictly forbidden to obstruct an opposing player's shot. This includes:
Players must ensure that their bodies, launchers, clothing, and any accessories do not touch the stadium or come into contact with the opponent at any time during or after launching; any intentional contact or interference during the shoot phase or battle is strictly prohibited.
If intentional contact is judged, the player will receive a penalty as determined by the judge, which may include disqualification.
PLAYER-INITIATED RELAUNCH:
A player may immediately request a relaunch without requiring a judge’s verdict under the following conditions:
The player unintentionally releases the launcher string, resulting in an incomplete launch.
The player’s hand, launcher, or finger contacts the Beyblade while it is still in the prongs, causing a mislaunch.
The player detects a launcher malfunction (e.g., winder or ripcord jams or slips) before the Beyblade makes contact with the stadium floor.
Condition:
The relaunch must be called immediately and any outcome of the match will be forfieted.
Additional Notes:
Only one player-initiated relaunch is allowed per match.
A player may request a relaunch if valid issues affect their ability to launch properly — for example:
obstacles or obstructions due to limited space,
interference from a passerby,
unexpected disruptions around the launch area.
If the judge deems the reason valid, the relaunch will be allowed without penalty, even if multiple relaunches are needed for the same battle.
However, repeated relaunches not caused by valid external factors that disrupt the normal launch sequence of the players may result in a penalty at the judge’s discretion.
player-initiated relaunches are considered Launch Errors and will stack on the number of offenses the player has.
If the player has already have an exsisting penalty (warning). The opposing player will be awarded 1 point and the battle will be restarted using the same beys.
If any Beyblade part (Blade, Ratchet, Bit, or any official component) breaks or becomes unusable during the tournament, the player is required to replace it immediately with a legal, undamaged part to continue competing.
Conditions:
The replacement part must be an official, unmodified Beyblade X part (Takara Tomy or Hasbro).
If the player does not have a suitable replacement, they may borrow one with the judge’s approval provided it meets inspection standards.
Note:
Players are responsible for ensuring their parts are in good condition before each match. Damaged or broken parts discovered mid-match or during inspection may result in a match restart.
The judge’s decision is final in all cases.
Players are not allowed to interfere with the judge’s decision, argue the outcome, or attempt to influence the ruling.
Players may request clarification respectfully after the battle, but repeated disputes or unsportsmanlike behavior may result in penalties or disqualification.
Players are not allowed to view the replay footage while reviewing the match outcome. Players can only view the replay footage once the judge has reach a verdict of the match.
Players may request replay of footage or additional input from Judges, but the final call remains with the judge or the head judge(if necessary).
If certain senrios occured where the judge cannot make a final desicion or the player is unsatisfied with the judges verdict they may call the head judge for the final verdict of the match result.
Judges must not tell the Head Judge their judgment so the Head Judge can make their own independent decsion based on the footage.
Penalty: Attempting to influence or argue with the judge's ruling may lead to a warning, point loss, or disqualification based on severity.
If a player is called and does not show up within the allotted time:
The tournament will continue and the match will be queued for the final round of that phase.
If the player remains absent by the end of the round and no approved substitution can cover, the following will apply:
Scoring Rules for Absences:
Round 1: The present player is awarded a 4-0 win.
Round 2: The absent player is treated as a Bye, and the present player receives a 4-3 win.
Round 3 and onward: The present player will be awarded a 4-0 win.
⚠️ If no approved substitute is available to fill in for the absent player, the above scoring rules will be strictly followed.⚠️
